Esse Progress Report 2021
We believe that change starts from within, and in 2021, we committed to setting a clear course out before us. This course will continuously evolve with knowledge and expand with innovation, but our Sustainability Goals serve as a map and compass that guides our decision-making, setting better standards to measure ourselves against.
In order to share details of our work this year and hold ourselves accountable to our stakeholders (that’s you), we have decided to report on our progress for the year. This serves as an update on where we’re at and our learnings in 2021.
The Leading Ladies: Our Community in their favourite Esse Signatures
To mark the final capsule that we are launching, we invited some of our customers to don their most beloved Esse signatures.
These signatures are one of our first few styles and have withstood the test of time, constantly being reinterpreted and updated over the years. We truly believe that a well-made piece of clothing is meant to last and be loved for a long time, tiding you through the seasons and developing a relationship with you.

Creative Collaborations: Cindy Leong, Visual Artist
At the heart of Esse is a deep appreciation for the process of creating and craftsmanship. As creatives ourselves, we're often stimulated by the work and craft of other artists and makers, and we believe that by supporting and nurturing a community of like-minded creatives, we can foster thought and enrich each other. In this ongoing series entitled Creative Collaborations, we engage with creatives of all disciplines, explore other fields of making and collaborate to create original objects that celebrate the beauty of handmade. To kick things off, we share a special collaboration with New Zealand artist, Cindy Leong, who is no stranger to our brand.
