Esse x Made by Mate

First conceived for the runway, our Modern Oriental capsule was commissioned by Lenzing Group, industry leaders in fibre development. Their brief was to a create a capsule that encapsulates Singapore’s heritage and culture. Combining our love for simple details and Made by Mate’s whimsical prints, the capsule draws inspiration from the Cheongsam. We re-imagined the Cheongsam sans all the traditional element and kept the silhouette relaxed for everyday wear.

Another part of the capsule was the introduction of scarves to create wearable, daily looks that transcend all occasions and that can be worn in multiple ways. The prints on the scarves were designed by Made by Mate, evoking a dreamy Singapore imbued with subtle pastel shades and prints that make a poetic tribute to our national flower and favourite kueh.
